The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking **Model Based Systems** **Engineering (MBSE)** **Engineers (Experienced or Lead)** for the **Saint Louis, MO** sites **(** Berkeley, Hazelwood, and Saint Charles). The selected candidate will work with the Integrated Product Teams to define and develop the product’s system architecture from initial design to product verification, including development and maintenance of requirements, interfaces, and behaviors for the product. The candidate will refine and implement system modeling best practices on the program, in coordination with the Lead Model Architect for the program. The candidate will work with the specialty engineering and system analysis teams to further expand the modeling infrastructure to enable work to be performed in the model.
As part of an integrated digital ecosystem, the candidate will also support development and implementation of open architecture standards and APIs to link MBSE models and content to authoritative sources of truth including digital twin repositories.
MBSE developers and leads are needed across our St. Louis portfolio of products, including our Air Dominance next generation and advanced tactical aircraft (F-47, F-15 & F/A-18 Fighters, T-7A Trainer, MQ-25 Autonomous Refueler), numerous Phantom Works proprietary platforms, Weapon Systems (JDAM, SDB, etc), Government Services (F-22, P-8, Vertical lift, Apache, Support Equipment, Trainers), among others.
The ideal candidate(s) will be able to leverage their experience in MBSE to provide high impact, creative solutions to complex technical problems, the ability to work as part of a team, and the ability to provide critical support and independent review of the work of teammates. As a Model Based Systems Engineering developer or lead, you will routinely develop and review solutions within Magic Systems of Systems Architecture (MSOSA) / Cameo. This role will enable technical growth in Digital & Systems Engineering, with the opportunity of becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) or Technical Lead Engineer (TLE).
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced and Lead Level MBSE Systems Engineering Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
+ Work collaboratively with a multi-discipline team to decompose system requirements into functional and logical architectures and allocate logical architecture to physical implementation
+ Lead the cross-functional team to define and maintain the system’s requirements, interfaces, behaviors, and verification requirements
+ Conduct Systems and Systems of Systems Analysis and Trade Studies utilizing MBSE
+ Capture system requirements traceability within the system architecture model
+ Apply model-based system engineering (MBSE) methodology to develop system architectural views using Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
+ Utilize the system architecture model in support of systems engineering milestone reviews across the lifecycle such as SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, SVR etc.
+ Leverage Systems Engineering and MBSE experience to define, implement, and maintain the MBSE approach to meet the customer’s digital engineering requirements / reference architectures and Air Dominance MBSE best practices
+ Develop profiles, macros, plugins, and customizations for the Magic Systems of Systems Architecture (MSOSA) toolset to meet the needs of the program contract
+ Develop processes, work instructions, and templates for deploying engineering analyses in the System Architecture Model
+ Provide input to continuously improve MBSE training, processes, and tools
+ Mentor systems engineers in MBSE processes and tools
+ Foster strong customer relationships
Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
+ An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
+ _Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements may be required for these positions._
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
+ 3+ years of experience with systems engineering processes and tools
+ 1+ years of experience creating MBSE systems models in Cameo, Magic Systems of Systems Architect (MSOSA), Rhapsody, or similar modeling software tools ( _e.g._ _previous experience implementing model-based approaches on engineering projects/programs, ensuring seamless integration of delivered models within the receiving architecture and digital engineering platform_ )
+ Currently reside in St. Louis, Missouri region _or_ willing to relocate to the St. Louis, Missouri region
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
+ **Level 4** : 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
+ 5+ years of systems engineering experience
+ Experience applying and teaching systems engineering processes and principles
+ Experience/domain knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation
+ Experience with complex systems development and integration (e.g. aircraft systems, communication systems, avionics systems, etc.)
+ Experience modeling or simulating complex systems
+ Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics (i.e. MSOSA/Cameo, DOORS, Earned value management)
+ Active U.S. Secret Clearance within the last 24 months

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range for Mid-level (Level 3): $97,750 - $132,250
Summary Pay Range for Senior level (Level 4): $119,850 - $162,150
