    Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated **Senior Project Management Specialist** to join our Training Segment Program Management Team in **Hazelwood, MO** .

     

    We are proud to offer an exciting opportunity within our **Air Proprietary X (APX)** program, part of the cutting-edge Air Dominance portfolio. This role is critical to the success of a proprietary program focused on delivering world-class aircrew, maintenance, and classroom/courseware training solutions.

     

    As the Senior Project Manager and Deputy Program Manager for the Training Segment, you will lead the full lifecycle of multiple training initiatives – from design and development through delivery and post-delivery support. You will collaborate closely with a dynamic, cross-functional team including Program Management, Integrated Scheduling, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Contracts, Product Support, Supplier Management, and key external suppliers.

    Position Responsibilities:

    + Leading the development, design, build, delivery, and sustainment of advanced aircrew and maintenance training devices and curriculum/courseware

    + Driving program management best practices (PMBP) to ensure realistic execution plans, align priorities across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and perform proactive cost, schedule, and risk management

    + Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, government agencies (e.g., DCMA), and suppliers to meet critical delivery timelines

    + Integrating efforts across Software Engineering, SEIT, Logistics, Supply Chain, Quality, Integrated Scheduling, Finance, and Contracts teams

     

    Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    + Bachelor’s degree or higher

    + 10+ years of experience in a combination of program management, supplier management, or software/systems engineering

    + 5+ years leading teams in formal or informal leadership roles

    + Experience managing schedules, budgets, and stakeholder communications to ensure program execution meets cost, schedule, and requirements commitments

    + Experience building and maintaining partnerships with government counterparts

    + Experience briefing business strategies and program status to senior managers, executives, and stakeholders

    + Familiarity with relevant engineering disciplines and cross-functional team collaboration

    + Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    + 5+ years supporting modernization, sustainment, or post-production of military fighter aircraft

    + 3+ years’ experience with Department of Defense (DoD) training programs

    + 3+ years’ experience with SAFe/Agile software development methodologies

    + Current or Ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance

    + PMP certification

    Summary pay range: $132,600 - $179,400
