As a **Security Officer - Academic Frontline Support** in **Philadelphia, PA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will be the primary point of contact for all visitors, students, and faculty entering the building. Your role involves monitoring access, verifying identification, and providing a welcoming presence while helping to deter security-related incidents. You will be responsible for maintaining an orderly environment and delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to individuals entering and exiting the location while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.

+ Monitor access control at the front desk, verifying identification and/or credentials as appropriate for the educational environment.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.

+ Document and report security-related incidents and/or unusual activity according to site protocols.

+ Assist visitors, students, and staff with inquiries and directions as needed.

+ Follow emergency response protocols and communicate with appropriate personnel during incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.

+ Must be at least 21 years of age.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
