As a **Security Guard - Access Control - Weekdays** in **Beaumont, TX** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a chemical or petrochemical location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact professionally with visitors and team members, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

+ Monitor and control access to restricted areas at the chemical and petrochemical location, verifying identification and credentials as required.

+ Assist with enforcing site-specific policies related to access control and security-related procedures.

+ Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by answering questions and directing them as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report irregularities.

+ Document observations and report security-related incidents or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.

+ Support emergency response activities by following location-specific guidelines and procedures as directed by Allied Universal.

+ Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to maintain a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

+ Must possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.

+ Must provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) as required.

+ A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
