As a **Security Officer - Retail Site - Full Time** in **Austin, TX** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a retail and mall location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding when appropriate to emergency situations.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain a secure environment.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible presence.

+ Monitor the premises for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to established protocols.

+ Support access control procedures by observing entrances and exits, and interacting with visitors and staff in a professional manner.

+ Document all incidents and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.

+ Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Must have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.

+ Must be at least 21 years of age.

+ Hold a Level III armed certification required by Texas state law.

+ Possess an armed guard card or license as required.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
