    As a **Security Guard - Government Patrol Rounds** in **New York, NY** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional in a government location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols throughout assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a secure environment for all individuals present.     What You'll Do:

    + Provide customer service to clients at government-operated bridges and tunnels by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

    + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help to deter unwanted activity at the location.

    + Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.

    + Observe and report any security-related irregularities such as property damage, trespassing, or unusual situations.

    + Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or law enforcement as needed.

    + Follow post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal management and site supervisors.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.

    + Access control or badge experience is preferred.

    + Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

    + Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

    + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

    + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

    + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

    + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

    + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

    + A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
