As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing an approachable presence. This is an armed and driving post, so you will be equipped and authorized to carry a firearm while also operating a vehicle as part of your duties. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and/or unauthorized access.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any potential security-related concerns or unusual occurrences.

+ Monitor access points and verify identification of personnel and visitors as required by site-specific guidelines.

+ Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.

+ Document all activities, observations, and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.

+ Remain alert and prepared to respond to alarms, emergencies, and/or requests for assistance throughout the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Must have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.

+ A valid armed guard card or license is required.

+ Must be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Pepper spray certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
