As a **Security Guard - Armed Government Patrols** in **Miami, FL** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal assigned to a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for the public. Your presence and proactive approach will provide reassurance to those in the area while you deliver excellent customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and/or responding appropriately to emergencies.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining composure.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

+ Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to established protocols.

+ Interact professionally with the public, staff, and/or visitors while upholding security-related procedures.

+ Remain alert and prepared to respond to a variety of situations, including emergency response activities as required.

+ Maintain accurate and timely documentation and/or incident reports as directed by Allied Universal protocols.

+ Operate security-related equipment, such as radios or access control devices, as needed for patrol and response duties.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.

+ Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by law.

+ Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Baton certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
