As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, you will play an important role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring and controlling entry points and conducting regular patrols. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you deliver outstanding customer service and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures.

+ Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the chemical or petrochemical location.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols specific to the site.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe conditions specific to the environment.

+ Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or suspicious activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.

+ Operate and monitor access control systems, verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs as required by site procedures.

+ Maintain a visible presence and provide assistance or information to employees, contractors, and visitors as needed.

+ Communicate with site management, local authorities, and Allied Universal supervisors regarding any security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

+ A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.

+ A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.

+ Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
