As a **Security Officer - Retail Patrol** in **Manhattan, KS** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail will help create a secure atmosphere for guests and staff. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to questions and requests in a professional manner.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations within the retail environment in a calm, problem-solving approach.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store and surrounding areas to help to deter inappropriate activity and identify potential concerns.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized activity or disturbances.

+ Document security-related incidents and observations according to Allied Universal guidelines and client instructions.

+ Assist with emergency response activities, including coordinating with local law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed.

+ Observe and report any maintenance hazards or other concerns identified during patrols to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
