At Sage, we’re at the forefront of innovation in e-invoicing, tax, AI, and regulatory technology, and we’re looking for a Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic, forward-thinking team.

This is a unique opportunity to work across product teams, translating complex compliance changes into practical, customer-focused solutions. You’ll play a key role in helping businesses navigate regulatory challenges—so they can focus on what they do best.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Advise product and engineering teams on compliance requirements, including sales tax, identity and KYC, payment, data privacy, and electronic invoicing.

    • Engage with regulatory authorities and trade bodies, helping to influence Sage’s strategic direction in compliance.

    • Create clear, actionable assets and guidance to support internal and external stakeholders.

    • Become the subject matter expert for US compliance, building strong cross-functional relationships.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Proven experience reviewing legislation, tax, or accounting standards.

    • A professional qualification in accounting or tax (e.g. CPA preferred) or equivalent practical experience.

    • Ideally you will be a part qualified or fully qualified accountant

    • At least 2 years post-qualification experience in a compliance, tax, or regulatory role preferred.

    • Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex regulatory content.

    • Experience using AI and software in a business capacity preferred.

    • Fluent Spanish is desirable (but not essential), particularly for translating Spanish compliance materials into English.
