Responsibilities Provides SCM and customers with a solid understanding of best practices, innovations, trends in the industry, to include cross-industry disciplines (e.g., SCM, analytic, strategic, etc.). Maintains abreast of leading edge concepts, best practices, and innovation in SCM. Works closely with senior level administrative and clinical leaders in specific divisions/departments including institutional initiatives to provide industry vision and strategic direction for Mayo in SCM excellence. Aggressively monitor industry trends to anticipate department's future needs and develop leading-edge approaches and recommendations. Develops, implements, and maintains programs and tools for financial reporting for complex activities. Interprets and implements accounting rules, fiscal compliance, policies and regulations. Proactively identifies opportunities and recommends options for increasing financial margins, while preserving Mayo standards and minimizing the financial and legal risks to Mayo. Conducts research and analysis, benchmarking, and audits to ensure reasonableness and accuracy of information. Responsible for project management of assigned department or clinical areas. Provides leadership in a team environment supporting complex, ambiguous and highly visible multidisciplinary activities or projects, task forces and institutional committees. Mentors, coaches, trains and assists in decision making for the work unit. This position works with multiple systems related to supply chain logistics and distribution. Systems such as Point of use systems, warehousing systems, and other inventory management. This position is recognized as a subject matter expert in both the physical and systematic operation of these systems. The expectation is to work closely with business users to ensure proper and efficient operations of the supply chain as well as perform process improvement as needed. Actively identify business problems and recommend solutions. Understand how data is turned into information and how that knowledge supports and enables key business processes. Work directly with business leaders providing consultation and support in the development, analysis, interpretation, and management of complex issues using data and analytical techniques. Has an in-depth knowledge of the business and an interest in going beyond the obvious to deliver value-add insights. Lead multi-disciplinary projects for process improvement or systems implementation. Assist with integrating analytics within all aspects of the digital supply chain. Utilize critical thinking skills to problem solve, formulate solutions, and make data-driven recommendations. Primary functions: --System administration of software application. --Process improvement for supply and logistics operations. --Works in a cross-functional team to provide analytic support for process improvement and other analysis. -- Experience with supply chain systems and tools and the knowledge to make suggestions on the design and application of technology and data. --Uses advanced analytic, business intelligence, and visualization tools to synthesize and communicate information. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of eight (8) years' relevant experience in health care, finance, accounting, business, or systems; certifications may be considered in lieu of experience; Or, Master's degree in health care, finance, accounting, business, or systems with 5 years' relevant experience in noted areas; certifications may be considered in lieu of experience. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to function independently required. Demonstrated oral communication skills required. Knowledge of DRG, CPT and ICD-9 coding and medical terminology preferred. Highly developed understanding of accounting and finance practices. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Strong investigational skills, shows attention to detail, accuracy and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Solid customer-service skills; understands and addresses customer needs in a timely manner. Ability to work in a team environment and develop constructive working relationships with others. Experience should encompass all aspects of SCM, with a focus on developing and implementing innovative strategies designed to reduce SCM expenses and/or enhance revenue. Thorough experience with related products within clinical expertise areas preferred. Demonstrated abilities in developing strong relationships with physicians, clinicians, executives and vendors in order to facilitate and enhance SCM best business practices leading to extensive year over year non-labor SCM expense reductions Lean and Six Sigma ASQ Certification, AHRMM CMRP, PMP, or other SCM or related industry certifications preferred. Mayo Quality Fellows Silver and Gold Certification preferred.
