Job Description:
Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) at Iowa State University is seeking a temporary program specialist to provide undergraduate student program support. This position will be part-time (20-30 hours/week) from January 5, 2026, through May 2026, with the potential of an extension to June 30, 2026. The person in this role would:
+ Ensure WiSE residential learning community and community group programming is high quality and implemented on a regular, consistent schedule.
+ Supervise student leaders who are responsible for developing and implementing residential and community group programming and WiSE front office workers.
+ Collaboratively design and implement various WiSE events.
+ Represent WiSE to students as well as internal and external partners.
Work Schedule:
+ 3-5 days/week, Monday-Friday, with potentially an occasional weekend event.
+ 20-30 hours/week will be collaboratively determined upon an offer.
+ Work hours will typically be between noon and 6 PM, but will be collaboratively determined upon an offer. Work hours may vary slightly from week to week, but may not exceed 40 hours in one week.
+ Fully in person.
