As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacist in an ambulatory setting. Your responsibilities will include entering and filling prescriptions, managing will call tasks, and providing essential pharmacy services.
Responsibilities
+ Enter and fill prescriptions accurately.
+ Handle prior authorizations efficiently.
+ Provide distributive pharmacy services and support for the pharmacist.
+ Prepare prescription orders for patient dispensing.
+ Maintain and manage pharmacy inventory effectively.
+ Assist with extemporaneous and bulk compounding of prescriptions and over-the-counter items.
+ Monitor reorder points and restock prescription and non-prescription areas.
+ Remove expiring products from inventory.
Essential Skills
+ Pharmacy technician certification (CPhT).
+ Proficiency in order entry and data entry.
+ Experience with pharmacy benefits management.
+ Strong customer service skills.
+ Ability to work independently.
+ Proficient with computer systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in retail pharmacy settings.
+ Ability to handle prior authorizations.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment
The position is located in an outpatient pharmacy in Avon, known as the second busiest of its kind, processing approximately 600 prescriptions daily. The working hours are Monday through Thursday from 8am to 8pm, Friday from 8am to 6pm, and Saturday from 8am to 1:30pm and 2pm to 4pm. Shifts will be from 8am to 4pm or 12pm to 8pm, with no weekend work required.

This is a Contract position based out of Avon, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
