    Description

    + Create detailed construction bid packages using your deep knowledge of low voltage systems, including equipment, materials, and product options

    + Evaluate project needs and recommend tailored low voltage solutions based on your technical expertise and understanding of current technologies

    + Develop comprehensive construction documents—floor plans, diagrams, and technical specs—using your skills in graphic representation

    + Conduct on-site inspections to ensure construction aligns with design specifications and quality standards

    + Lead low voltage projects from start to finish, managing timelines, deliverables, and client communication

    + Coordinate low voltage scopes with architectural, mechanical, and structural teams—both internal and external

    + Stay current with industry software and tools, adapting to new technologies to improve design efficiency and client outcomes

    + Use AutoCAD and/or Revit to prepare contract documents and schematic design concepts

    + Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and designers, guiding them through project execution and professional development

    + Support senior electrical engineers with project management and client relationship efforts

    + Help shape internal standards, strategies, and best practices for low voltage system design

    + Attend project meetings with senior staff to align on scope, client expectations, and design direction

    + Collaborate directly with clients to communicate design concepts, explore options, and ensure alignment with project goals and budgets

    + Understand client needs and integrate them into project scopes to deliver effective, customized solutions

     

    Skills and Requirements

     

    + Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) Certification, required.

    + 10+ years of experience in low voltage system design and/or construction, preferred.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver high-quality work under pressure

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills for project documentation and team collaboration

    + A team-oriented mindset with a proactive, accountable, and solution-driven approach

    + Deep understanding of low voltage system technologies and the ability to recommend appropriate solutions to clients

    + Experience developing complete construction bid packages, including detailed drawings and specifications

    + Solid knowledge of applicable building codes and standards, with the ability to research and apply client-specific requirements

    + Proficiency in designing systems such as:

    + Nurse call

    + Access control

    + CCTV surveillance

    + Structured cabling

    + Wireless networks

    + Intercom systems

    + Audio/visual systems

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

     

    5% match on 401k.Bonus at the end of the year- sometimes mid year bonusSalary raises at the beginning of the year- performance base/living conditionsHealth, vision and dental care
