Job Description

Responsibilities
+ Assist in receiving, weighing, and extracting samples within studies to support product registration and develop biologically active research chemicals.
+ Support laboratory testing and data generation as outlined by principal investigators for residue studies.
+ Manage experimental lab routine operations such as sample shipments, receiving, weighing, and consumable ordering.
+ Prioritize daily work activities to meet timelines.
+ Regularly interact with the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and automated equipment such as liquid handlers.
+ Perform routine lab support tasks following specific protocols, including solution preparation, sample processing, aliquotting, extraction, and equipment maintenance.
+ Operate laboratory instrumentation like balances, genogrinders, centrifuges, gas chromatographs, high-performance liquid chromatographs, and mass spectrometers.
+ Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures, GLP Standards, and regulatory requirements.
+ Maintain neat, accurate, and complete records and prepare related support documentation as needed.
Essential Skills
+ B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or related field (preferably life sciences, agriculture, plant science, etc.).
+ 6+ months of experience in a laboratory setting performing analytical chemistry.
+ Experience with HPLC or LCMS.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with quantitative weighings, extractions, and sample clean-up techniques from complex agricultural matrices.
+ Quantitative LC-MS/MS analytical experience in small molecules.
+ Understanding of GLP regulations.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse group of customers, peers, and R&D regulatory and residue experts.
Work Environment
Work a 1st shift from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. The position includes holiday pay for consultants.

This is a Contract position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
