Job Title: Expert Research Technician
Job Description
As a Expert Research Technician, you will support the characterization of IsoTag™ reagents and their purification targets. You will perform routine testing of IsoTag™ protein samples and biologic samples produced from IsoTag™ purification tests. Additionally, you will be responsible for routine analytics to support application development of IsoTag™ reagents. This position is within the research department and will involve coordination with development, applications, and manufacturing groups.
Responsibilities
+ Execute standard operating procedures that analyze quality attributes of lentiviral particles.
+ Execute standard operating procedures that analyze quality attributes of IsoTag™ reagents.
+ Assist in developing new analytical methods for new IsoTag™ reagents and biologic targets.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or engineering discipline OR High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years of experience in a relevant role.
+ Knowledge of large molecule analytical techniques such as SDS-PAGE, UV-Vis Spectrophotometry, FACS, HPLC, ELISA, qPCR.
+ Prior lab experience in analytical testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in analytical method development or validation (AMD/AMV).
+ Experience with flow cytometry, PCR, and QC testing.
+ Basic analytical science skills for a testing lab.
+ HPLC and UPLC experience is highly beneficial.
Work Environment
The work environment involves analytical testing in a lab setting. You will have the opportunity to train and develop your skills further, especially in areas like HPLC, where there is a current team gap.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Durham, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
