    Job Title: Project Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer responsible for developing project work element plans, coordinating project activities, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The role involves critical path scheduling, reviewing designs, coordinating with superintendents and subcontractors, and supporting general project operations.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop project work element plans and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).

    + Coordinate project definable features of work with superintendents, foremen, craft workers, and subcontractors.

    + Utilize Computer Aided Drafting for lift equipment analysis and work method sequencing.

    + Perform critical path scheduling and three-week look-ahead scheduling.

    + Review designs, drawings, and engineering data for conformance with project plans and specifications.

    + Investigate and research for necessary permanent and consumable materials, equipment, and tools.

    + Inspect newly delivered permanent materials for compliance with project requirements.

    + Coordinate project activities with client representatives and stakeholders.

    + Design falsework and monitor operations of the company and its subcontractors.

    + Prepare daily operations and quality control reports.

    + Maintain project photographic records.

    + Provide general project support.

    + Ensure compliance with the company's Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct.

    + Promote an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work environment as a condition of employment.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in project management, construction, and construction management.

    + Experience with AutoCAD and mechanical engineering.

    + Familiarity with commercial construction and project scheduling.

    + Field service, field engineering, and project coordination skills.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, or Construction Management from a four-year college or university.

    + Supervisory experience with engineering interns.

    + Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.

    + Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) and current registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.

    + Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    + Experience with scheduling, estimating, and project management software such as HCSS and Primavera preferred.

    Work Environment

    The role requires working 75% of the time in the Richmond office and 25% at project sites. The work environment involves exposure to adverse weather conditions, and the noise level is moderate to loud. Employees must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed shoes. Physical demands include standing, walking, using stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.

    This is a Full Time position based out of Richmond, California.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $48.07/hr.
