Job Title: Microbiologist
Job Description
Join our dynamic team in the Quality Control Laboratory where you will play a crucial role in supporting ongoing processes. You will conduct microbiological testing of raw materials and finished products using Petri film and agar plate methods, along with media preparation and sterilization.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials and finished products.
+ Prepare and sterilize media.
+ Prepare and manage inventory.
+ Prepare and ship samples.
+ Perform basic laboratory testing and clean glassware.
+ Ensure compliance with cGMP standards.
+ Support out-of-specification (OOS) investigations.
+ Perform other duties as directed by the Laboratory Supervisor and Management.
+ Willingness to work holidays and weekends as requested.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 1-year experience testing microbial samples in a cGMP environment within industries such as Drugs, Dietary Supplements, or Medical Devices.
+ Proficiency in aseptic techniques and general microbiology test methods.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Fluency in basic software use: Word, Outlook, and Excel.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong command of English for understanding both oral and written instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Technical degree (2-year) with 2 to 4 years of laboratory experience, or a 4-year degree with 1+ years of experience.
Work Environment
The role involves working in a laboratory setting with a flex schedule from approximately 9am to 5pm. The environment emphasizes compliance with cGMP standards and requires the use of aseptic techniques. The position may require working on holidays and weekends as requested by the QC Lab Supervisor or Management.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
