Job Description
We are seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer with 6-15+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should be proficient in the Mechanical Engineering Design Process for Building Systems, from Concept and Schematic Design through to complete Construction Document Design and Construction Administration Support. The majority of projects will be within the Healthcare sector, so experience in this area or relatable project types is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
+ Lead and execute the Mechanical Engineering Design Process for Building Systems.
+ Collaborate on projects, particularly in the Healthcare sector, including Hospital Patient Floors, Procedure Suites, and Equipment Suites.
+ Ensure compliance with all pertinent ASHRAE Standards, Mechanical Codes, and Certifications.
+ Identify and address issues within the Mechanical Engineering Team effectively.
+ Mentor Junior Engineers throughout the full design process of projects.
+ Apply infrastructure experience to relevant projects.
Essential Skills
+ Mechanical Engineering Degree is required.
+ Professional Engineer (PE) certification or on track to obtaining it.
+ Strong experience and knowledge of HVAC systems.
+ Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
+ Solid understanding of construction administration, schedules, and budgets.
+ Excellent communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in Healthcare or relatable technical projects is preferred.
+ Familiarity with hospital codes is advantageous.
+ Mentorship skills for guiding Junior Engineers.
Work Environment
Our work environment follows a hybrid schedule with a base 36-hour workweek. On Mondays and Wednesdays, you will work 8 hours each day remotely from home or at a site if required. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the whole team collaborates in the office located in Jenkintown for coordination and project work, with possible site visits as needed. Fridays involve 4 hours of remote work from home. This schedule supports flexibility while ensuring effective team coordination.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $67.31/hr.
