    The Project Manager will oversee environmental site assessments, remediation efforts, redevelopment initiatives, and incentive programs. This role ensures alignment with regulatory standards, client expectations, and sustainability objectives.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead all phases of Brownfield redevelopment projects, including assessment, remediation, design, and construction.

    + Advise clients and municipalities on available redevelopment incentives.

    + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations such as EPA, CERCLA, and state Brownfield programs.

    + Collaborate with developers, government agencies, community organizations, and environmental consultants.

    + Support and/or lead proposal development for new projects.

    + Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and maintain schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

    + Define project scope, timelines, and resource needs.

    + Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and resolve issues proactively.

    + Set project goals and contribute to quality assurance and control efforts.

    + Direct multidisciplinary teams including engineers, scientists, planners, and contractors.

    + Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.

    + Prepare billing documentation and manage outstanding receivables.

    + Identify opportunities for additional scope and revenue; participate in business development.

    + Mentor junior staff and foster strong client relationships.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.

    + Minimum 5 years of project management experience; experience with redevelopment incentives preferred.

    + At least 10 years of experience in Brownfield redevelopment and/or environmental remediation.

    + Proven expertise in Phase I and II environmental site assessments, remediation technologies, and regulatory compliance.

    + Experience with grants and incentives within Brownfield Redevelopment.

    Work Environment

    The position operates within a flexible work environment, offering a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm. Candidates may work 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely, or fully remote for the right candidate, provided they are located in Michigan. The role is primarily office-based with occasional fieldwork, requiring the ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds. Activities may include standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and operating office equipment. Local travel to project sites during business hours is required, primarily within the tri-county area. The company provides vehicles and/or mileage reimbursement.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Brighton, Michigan.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $105000.00/yr.

     

    15% annual bonus based on salary, 401k match, fitness and tuition reimbursement, volunteer PTO and 20 days (4 weeks) PTO, standard health benefits: two different PPO plans, pet insurance, 2 weeks paternity leave, 4 weeks maternity leave.
