Adecco is hiring immediately for a Logistics Specialist in Southfield, Michigan

This is a full-time, onsite position offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from **8:00 AM – 5:00 PM** , with a pay rate of **$20.00 per hour** . As a Logistics Specialist, you will play a key role in providing logistics support through order entry, routing and dispatching, and traffic coordination, ensuring the smooth flow of shipments and timely deliveries.

Job Responsibilities

Daily Duties:

+ Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders into the Freight Optimizer system.

+ Update account managers on problem loads and communicate actions taken; notify receivers and customers of load statuses.

+ Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries to verify that loads have arrived on time and in good condition.

+ Take check calls from drivers, confirming that loads will deliver on time; validate all load data prior to marking loads as delivered for accounting purposes.

+ Investigate product overages, shortages, and damages; complete appropriate documentation.

+ Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments as needed; accept or decline loads based on direction from account managers.

+ Provide detailed routing instructions and guidance to drivers.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

+ 2+ years of administrative logistics experience.

+ General knowledge of the transportation industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.

+ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
