Job Title: Technical Writer
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to assist in updating and maintaining service manuals. This role requires strong proficiency in Microsoft platforms, the ability to capture and upload high-quality images, and a methodical approach to organizing technical documentation.
Responsibilities
+ Review and revise existing service manuals to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
+ Collaborate with technical staff to gather and verify information.
+ Capture and upload photographs of equipment, components, and procedures for documentation purposes.
+ Format and organize documentation using Microsoft tools such as Word, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
+ Ensure all updates align with company standards and documentation protocols.
+ Maintain version control and document history.
+ Support the documentation team in managing manual updates across multiple product lines.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in technical writing, preferably in a service or manufacturing environment.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and cloud platforms (SharePoint, OneDrive).
+ Ability to take clear, well-lit photographs and upload them into documentation systems.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation tasks.
+ Familiarity with document control systems or enterprise content management platforms.
+ Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems.
+ Experience working with cross-functional teams in a technical environment.
Work Environment
This position is based in an onsite environment with your own office, offering a professional setting to focus on detailed documentation tasks.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Miami, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
