Overview:
We are currently hiring for 3-5 Cleared System Admins to help with a large project pertaining to the modernization of the GCCS-J program.
Description
Systems Administration (RHEL and Windows):
+ RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux):
+ Experience administering RHEL-based systems (e.g., RHEL 8/9, Fedora).
+ Command-line proficiency in Bash scripting and using tools like YUM/DNF for package management.
+ Configuration and management of RHEL services (e.g., Systemd, Apache, Nginx, PostgreSQL, MySQL, LDAP).
+ Knowledge of SELinux, firewalld, and security management.
+ Windows Server:
+ Experience administering Windows Server environments (e.g., Windows Server 2022).
+ Active Directory (AD) management, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and IIS (Internet Information Services).
+ Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation.
+ Experience with Windows file systems, backups, and restoration.
+ Networking:
+ Understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, VRFs, routing, and switching.
+ Configuration of network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
+ Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and NTP protocols.
+ Basic knowledge of network monitoring tools (e.g., ping, traceroute, netstat, Wireshark).
+ Experience configuring network interfaces, firewalls, and routing tables on both RHEL and Windows environments.
+ Virtualization and Infrastructure:
+ Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or KVM).
+ Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for Linux-based environments.
+ Storage:
+ Experience with XFS Network Attached Storage (NAS) configuration and maintenance (e.g. TrueNAS).
+ Experience with administering a NAS in a Virtualized environment.
+ Security Basics:
+ Knowledge of basic network and system security practices (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, user authentication).
+ Familiarity with securing systems using firewalld (RHEL) or Windows Firewall.
+ Understanding of user and group management and access controls (e.g., LDAP, Kerberos, Active Directory).
+ Understanding of securing remote access using SSH for Linux and RDP/WinRM for Windows.
+ Experience with PKI management.
+ Problem-Solving Skills:
+ Strong troubleshooting skills for both Linux and Windows environments, diagnosing network issues, hardware failures, and service outages.
+ Ability to analyze and resolve connectivity issues in a multi-platform environment (Linux + Windows).
+ Proven ability to identify the appropriate method and conduct testing to ensure complex technical solutions will work as expected in production.
+ Automation & Scripting:
+ Experience writing basic Bash, PowerShell or Python scripts to automate routine tasks.
+ Basic understanding of automation tools like Ansible, Packer and Terraform.
Qualifications:
+ Active Secret Clearance.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
+ Certifications like CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals, or RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator)
+ 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience with system and network administration.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
