    Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

    • Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or 4-year technical degree or equivalent education.

    + Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a troubleshooting role in a manufacturing environment if no degree.

    + 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, primarily floor support and process improvements.

    + Experience in manufacturing troubleshooting and problem-solving.

    + Proficiency in lean manufacturing, equipment selection, and equipment installation.

    + Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel and Access.

    + Experience in engineering design, design for manufacturing, simulation, process modeling, and value stream mapping.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Strong analysis skills in process, capacity, cost/benefit, waste stream, and quality tools.

    + Experience in internal and external quality support/management.

    + Facilitation and negotiation skills.

    + Knowledge of material handling and productivity improvement techniques.

    + Understanding of behavior sciences, economics, and financial analysis.

    + Work measurement and project management skills.

    + Interpersonal skills and strategic planning abilities.

    + Occupational bio mechanics/human factors engineering knowledge.

    Job Description

    With general direction, the Manufacturing Engineer will lead the introduction of new products into the facility, improve productivity and profitability of existing production procedures, and provide ongoing support through the manufacturing life cycle. This role acts as a technical expert in process technology.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead the introduction of new products into the facility.

    + Improve productivity and profitability of existing production procedures.

    + Provide ongoing support through the manufacturing life cycle.

    + Evaluate manufacturing processes to ensure optimal labor and material costs.

    + Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and profitability.

    + Track expenditures to ensure they are within budgeted amounts.

    + Identify, reduce, and eliminate worker exposure to ergonomic stress in the workplace.

    + Provide timely product and process support for any manufacturing area to diagnose problems and implement solutions.

    + Lead the implementation of significant product, process, or other corporate change initiatives introduced into the plant.

    + Conduct advanced research to introduce and integrate new processes, equipment, and technologies.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
