Job Title: Shipping Associate

Job Description

An ink distribution company is seeking an experienced Shipping/Packer to join their team. The role involves efficiently managing shipping and packing operations in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

+ Unload 53 ft trailer trucks with drums of ink, typically 2-3 trailers per day during peak periods.

+ Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.

+ Utilize an RF scanner for inventory management.

+ Read and interpret pick tickets to ensure correct order fulfillment.

+ Pack boxes for shipment, ensuring they are secure and labeled correctly.

+ Create UPS and FedEx labels for outgoing shipments.

+ Operate shrink wrappers and palletizers to prepare shipments.

+ Ship products using proprietary software.

+ Push and pull up to 75lb drums safely.

+ Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials around the warehouse.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in Shipping and Picking/Packing.

+ Proficiency in operating a forklift.

+ Experience with RF scanners.

+ Comfortable using computer systems, including ERP systems.

+ Strong skills in inventory and material handling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in inventory control.

Work Environment

The position is located in a clean, non-climate controlled warehouse, working with a small team of 3-4 individuals onsite. Standard hours are 8:00am-4:30pm with flexibility to start early or stay late as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grapevine, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
