Job Title: Mechanical Assembler/Motor Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler/Motor Technician to join our team at our headquarters in Evansville, IN. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling mechanical fixtures and motor components for various industries. The role involves reading blueprints and utilizing basic hand tools to assemble and troubleshoot equipment. All tasks will be performed in our Evansville shop, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including operations managers, engineers, welders, and electricians.
Responsibilities
+ Read and interpret blueprints to understand the mechanical layout of specific equipment.
+ Utilize hand tools, fasteners, and other components to assemble and build equipment to specifications.
+ Troubleshoot unforeseen issues with oversized parts and design flaws.
+ Communicate effectively with electrical, welding, and engineering teams to resolve product assembly issues.
+ Perform basic installation of wiring on certain equipment if experienced, requiring electrical schematics knowledge.
+ Ensure that mechanical components are assembled within specifications, without connecting motors to live electric sources.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of mechanical troubleshooting and mechanical assembly experience.
+ Proficiency in blueprint reading for over 2 years.
+ Experience using hand tools and precision measuring tools, such as micrometers and calipers, for over 2 years.
+ Background in automotive, HVAC, electrical, automotive tech, automotive repair, engine repair, automotive maintenance, diagnosis, and electrical schematics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in building custom machinery or equipment.
+ Knowledge of electrical wiring and schematics.
+ Experience with 480v and 3-phase motors.
+ High School diploma.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a large job shop facility that is semi-climate controlled. Conditions can be hot during the summer and cool during the winter. The shop maintains cleanliness, though some areas might not meet high standards. You will work 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts, with potential for overtime. Initially, training occurs on the 1st shift from 6AM to 2:30PM for 6-12 months, after which you may transition to the 2nd shift from 2PM to 10:30PM. You are expected to work at least two weekends per month.

This is a Contract to Hire or Direct Hire position based out of Evansville, Indiana.
***STARTING PAY $24-$32 BASED ON EXPERIENCE IN EVANSVILLE, IN***
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $60320.00/yr.
