Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will troubleshoot and repair defective equipment, maintain and repair electrical control systems associated with industrial machinery, and assist fellow maintenance personnel and contract engineers with equipment installation and repairs. You will also work with AC and DC drives and motors and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controls using maintenance software.

Responsibilities

+ Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment.

+ Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control systems associated with industrial machinery.

+ Assist maintenance personnel and contract integrators/engineers in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment.

+ Install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain AC and DC drives.

+ Install, troubleshoot, and maintain AC and DC motors.

+ Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controls via maintenance software with a laptop computer.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to troubleshoot 3 phase motors.

+ Experience with electronics, including replacing motor/gear boxes up to 480V.

+ Proficiency in troubleshooting and calibrating photoeyes and sensors.

+ Experience in preventative maintenance.

+ Knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 1-2 years of industrial maintenance experience or a solid mechanical aptitude.

+ Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

+ Openness to training and learning new equipment.

Work Environment

The work environment includes two climate-controlled rooms, although the press room where most time will be spent is not climate controlled, with plans to install air conditioning. The team currently consists of 10 technicians, including facilities, shift techs, and electricians. The role involves a rotating schedule with 3 days on and 2 days off, offering a 3-day weekend every other weekend. Expect to work 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Sandston, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $62000.00/yr.

Dominion Packaging is booming with business and is considered essential. Recently won large contracts. They are in the process of adding new equipment and adding slitters, gluers and printers

This is a fully onsite position in Sandston,VA.
