Construction General Laborer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated construction general laborer specializing in office furniture installation. You will be responsible for setting up desks, furniture, and storage solutions within office buildings using a variety of hand tools and cordless drills. Additionally, you will assist in unloading materials from trucks and transporting them to the workspace.
Responsibilities
+ Set up desks, furniture, and storage within office buildings.
+ Utilize hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tape measures.
+ Operate cordless drills for efficient assembly and installation.
+ Unload materials from trucks and transport them to designated workspaces.
+ Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of installation projects.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in using hand tools with at least 1+ years of experience.
+ A minimum of 2+ years in a current or recent job, demonstrating reliability and consistency.
+ Foremen should possess a construction skillset with 3+ years of experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with blueprints and assembly procedures.
+ Knowledge of furniture assembly, installation, and delivery.
+ Experience in carpentry, drywall, and concrete work.
+ Familiarity with inventory management and door installation.
Work Environment
Work hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays and Sundays to meet client deadlines. Typical workdays last 9-10 hours, starting between 5:30-7:00 AM and ending around 4-4:30 PM. Due to construction schedules, some furniture installation may occur later into the evening, from 5 PM to 10 PM. This schedule will be communicated 1-2 weeks in advance. Some travel may be required to the Des Moines location during slow periods in Omaha.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Vista, Nebraska.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
