Job Title: Line Leader

Job Description

Join our dynamic bakery department where you will operate mixing machines, filling machines, and baggers. You will work collaboratively in teams of 3-4, switching between operating mixers, fillers, and grinding machines. Your role will involve transforming raw materials into a doughy product and preparing it for shipment.

Responsibilities

+ Operate and monitor mixing, filling, and grinding machines.

+ Switch between different operational roles such as mixer, filler, and grinding machine operator.

+ Scoop cauliflower into the grinding machine to create a fine material for dough production.

+ Read and interpret batch tickets to produce dough.

+ Weigh and add specific amounts of raw materials and starches to each batch.

+ Operate tumblers 2-3 days a week to mix materials with starches, flour, and eggs.

+ Monitor and adjust equipment including mixers, fillers, ovens, presses, baggers, and cartoners.

+ Perform quality inspections and ensure GMP standards are met.

+ Experience with sit-down forklifts to transport materials within the facility.

+ Manually lift and move materials as required.

+ Conduct visual and quality inspections to ensure product standards.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of experience in the food industry.

+ Experience with mixing, blending, and compounding.

+ GMP experience is necessary.

+ Machine operation and batching experience.

+ Forklift and production experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Lead experience in a similar role is advantageous.

+ Experience with baggers, wrappers, films, cartoners, mixers, and fillers.

+ Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment includes both normal and cold temperatures, particularly in winter. Shifts available are 3rd shift (11 PM - 7:30 AM) and 1st shift (6:30 AM - 2:30 PM). There is potential for overtime, especially on Saturdays, depending on production needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manteno, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.84/hr.
