    Job Title: Powder Coating Quality and Process Lead

    Job Description

    As a Powder Coating Quality and Process Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all components are produced and coated efficiently, meeting the company's established goals for quality and on-time performance. You will be tasked with identifying and addressing issues related to the powder coating process, equipment malfunctions, and quality control deviations.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure all components are produced/coated efficiently, consistent with quality and on-time performance goals.

    + Identify and address issues or concerns related to the powder coating process, equipment malfunctions, or quality control deviations.

    + Provide leadership and direction to powder coat painters, including training, coaching, and mentoring to enhance skills and performance.

    + Collaborate with supervisors to optimize workflow and scheduling to meet production goals and deadlines.

    + Ensure spray efficiencies are meeting KPI’s based on quoted levels.

    + Oversee CARC finishes in line with required standards, monitor environmental conditions for proper curing, and inspect coated parts for quality compliance.

    + Perform and ensure routine maintenance and cleaning of powder coating equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

    + Assist supervisors by enforcing safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment, including adherence to OSHA regulations.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 5 years' experience in powder coating painting.

    + Leadership experience.

    + Good knowledge of mechanics and repair of painting equipment.

    + Knowledge of wash and pretreatments.

    + Use of manual and automatic paint equipment preferred.

    + Ability to lift 40lbs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Advanced technical knowledge in powder coating and painting.

    + Ability to conduct titrations for chemical balance.

    + Maximize line density for efficiency.

    + Recognize and avoid ferrous paint line issues.

    + Troubleshooting skills.

    + Experience in paint prep and assembly.

    + Supervisory and process optimization skills.

    Work Environment

     

    This position operates on the 1st Shift, from 5:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday. The workplace is a full powder coat shop with a warm environment due to the presence of two ovens.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Racine, Wisconsin.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
