    Job Title: Welder

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled welder responsible for performing MIG and TIG welding to manufacture boxes for conveyor systems. Occasionally, you will need to measure and cut steel. You will conduct setup and all-position welding on various standard weldments and structures in accordance with code certifications, alignment, dimensional, and general inspection requirements. The role involves fitting and positioning weldments with multiple parts, allowing some flexibility in technique selection within recognized procedures. Proficiency in working from drawings and knowledge of welding techniques are essential. You will need the ability to measure, make setups, and use MIG, TIG, and Plasma proficiently to produce items that meet quality standards and tests. You will also use inspection tools for quality checks and are expected to have a thorough understanding of welding principles and techniques, working independently.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform MIG and TIG welding to manufacture boxes for conveyor systems.

    + Occasionally measure and cut steel as needed.

    + Conduct setup and all-position welding on various standard weldments and structures.

    + Fit and position weldments with multiple parts, selecting and varying techniques within limits of recognized procedures.

    + Work from drawings and possess knowledge of welding techniques.

    + Measure and make own setups, using MIG, TIG, and Plasma proficiently.

    + Use inspection tools for quality checks.

    + Work independently with a solid understanding of welding principles and techniques.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 4+ years of experience with MIG and TIG welding.

    + Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, and blueprint reading.

    + Ability to perform quality inspections and use welding techniques effectively.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to perform a weld test: Vertical down and up for MIG .045 and a Horizontal pass for TIG using specified materials (3/32 tungsten, 1/16 thick rod).

    Work Environment

     

    This position is based in a typical manufacturing facility that is well-lit but not climate-controlled. You will work the 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (off shift available, too), with overtime offered prior to shift start, usually amounting to 45 hours a week. No weekend work is required.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
