    Job Title: HVAC Service Technician

    Job Description

    As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of both commercial and residential HVAC systems. Your role will require a comprehensive understanding of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatic and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding and brazing, and mechanical layouts.

    Responsibilities

    + Install, diagnose, and repair HVAC units using a variety of hand tools.

    + Follow blueprints, wiring, and piping diagrams, or engineering specifications.

    + Operate refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, charging equipment, and service gauges.

    + Troubleshoot components to ensure optimal operation and compliance with plans and specifications.

    + Perform routine maintenance and operation of HVAC systems and related equipment.

    + Maintain quality of work, performance, and productivity standards.

    + Repair, overhaul, and start up commercial HVAC systems.

    + Record temperature, pressure, and other readings on log sheets at specified intervals.

    + Document work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.

    + Stay updated on all manufacturers’ products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.

    + Work varying schedules and shifts to meet the business needs, including potential overtime, weekend, or on-call hours.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficient in mechanical and electrical repair.

    + Field service experience with preventive maintenance.

    + Excellent troubleshooting skills to component level.

    + Knowledge of VAV/VVT HVAC systems.

    + Experience with building controls, including ATC Temperature Electronic and Pneumatic controls.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in using refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, charging equipment, and service gauges.

    + Proficiency in following blueprints and engineering specifications.

    + Capability to maintain comprehensive records of work completed.

    Work Environment

     

    This position requires traveling to commercial sites and may involve varying schedules, including overtime, weekends, or on-call hours. You will be provided with a company vehicle for work-related travel, and the role involves both independent and team-based work.     Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Travel requirements in and around the Philadelphia, PA area.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $55.00/hr.
