    The Indiana Office of Technology provides cost-effective, secure, consistent, reliable enterprise-technology services to our partner agencies so that they can better serve our mutual customer, the Hoosier taxpayer. IOT will also act as the technology and solution enabler for the State, helping its partner agencies achieve business objectives and innovation.

    Role Overview:

    The Database Systems Administrator Intermediate is the technical contact for Oracle UCM for four state agencies. You will evaluate information system performance and configuration against industry, manufacturer, or vendor best practices and known performance metrics. You will also recommend system changes based on performance needs, upgrades, redundancy, and system availability.

     

    This role is the backup technical contact for the States shared SharePoint environment. You will participate in an on-call rotation several times a year in one-week increments. This role requires work on the weekends and evening to implement system changes per Request for Comments documents or for break/fix issues when on call.

    You will support agency IT projects and initiatives such as:

    + Document management and imaging.

    + Records management and retention.

    + SharePoint document management and imaging.

    The role requires:

    + Advanced knowledge of Windows Server Technologies.

    + Troubleshooting methodologies.

    + Advanced knowledge Oracle ECM suite.

    + Document Management methodologies, concepts, and governance.

    Salary:

    The salary for this position traditionally starts at $61,022 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

    A Day in the Life:

    Responsibilities include:

    + Assist in leveraging ETL software (Magellan) to migrate enterprise content management systems from Oracle WebCenter Content (WCC) to OpenText xECM.

    + Support senior team members in gathering requirements, designing, and implementing solutions for enterprise content management and imaging projects.

    + Provide continued support for legacy content management systems operating on Oracle WCC and Oracle Capture.

    + Deliver technical support and subject matter expertise for OpenText xECM and OpenText Intelligent Capture across existing and future state agencies adopting the platform.

    + Perform initial triage and basic troubleshooting for issues within supported enterprise content management and imaging environments, including related hosting infrastructure.

    + Assist with backups, performance monitoring, and uptime management of supported content management and imaging environments.

    + Collaborate with senior team members to evaluate system performance and assist with upgrades, performance tuning, and redundancy planning.

    + Participate in on-call rotations and assist with after-hours maintenance, updates, and deployments

    + Maintain and continuously develop expertise in Windows Server technologies, OpenText xECM, OpenText Intelligent Capture, and enterprise content management concepts.

    + Assist in the development and presentation of demos, workshops, and training sessions for agencies to promote platform adoption and best practices.

    + Document configurations, environments, and processes using collaboration tools such as ServiceNow, SharePoint, Visio, and Excel.

    This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours that may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.

    What You'll Need for Success:

    Credentials:

    + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Technology or related field and 1+ year of experience, or

    + Associate's Degree in Computer Technology or related field and 3+ years of experience, or

    + 5+ years of experience applying the below, outlined knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role.

    + Related certifications and coursework may be considered for education or experience.

    Additional qualifications:

    + Advanced knowledge of information technology system, including software and hardware.

    + Considerable knowledge of software and hardware interactions with other components .

    + Considerable knowledge of policies, standards, procedures, and techniques.

    + Considerable knowledge in information technology equipment, operation, and capabilities .

    + Advanced knowledge in the use of tools and utilities to perform the system work.

    + Advanced knowledge in performance and tuning techniques.

    + Ability to establish and maintain a cooperative relationship with others.

    + Ability to assist others in problem resolutions and recommendations regarding system software performance and abilities.

    + Advanced knowledge in the business objectives and goals to evaluate the software products’ effectiveness Effective communication skills.

    + Ability to solve problems effectively and efficiently.

    + Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

    Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

    This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
