Job Title: Medical Device Assembly Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Medical Device Assembly Technician to join our team. This role involves working with catheter devices, utilizing small hand tools, and maintaining high-quality standards in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble catheter devices using small hand tools such as tweezers and razors.
+ Adhere to all Quality Policies and Systems, ensuring compliance with GMP/GDP standards.
+ Maintain accurate records, including Lot History Records (LHR).
+ Process small parts under a microscope, consistently meeting or exceeding the cycle time and quality standard of 400 units a week.
+ Maintain an acceptable level of attendance, including scheduled overtime.
+ Foster a professional work relationship with team members and cross-functional groups.
+ Flex and rotate to other stations as necessary.
+ Understand and follow safety policies and practices, escalating any issues related to product quality or workplace safety.
+ Adhere to 5S principles and goals.
+ Operate machines for balloon blowing and work with plastic tubing and guidewires under a microscope.
+ Perform UV curing and hot box operations.
+ Package products, including working with ovens and fridges to make hydrogel and adding hydrogel into catheters.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in catheter medical device assembly or medical device packaging.
+ Proficiency in microscope work with small parts such as catheter tubes or stents.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with the FDA if necessary.
+ High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of experience in the medical device/pharmaceutical field.
+ Ability to work in a Controlled Environment Room and experience with gowning procedures.
+ Strong hand-eye coordination.
+ Proficiency in reading, writing, math, and inventory control skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Polymer and/or tip forming experience is a plus.
+ Knowledge of GMP, GDP, and MPI.
+ 5S experience and audit knowledge are highly preferred.

Work Environment
This position is based in a medical device and FDA-regulated clean room. The day shift runs from 6 AM to 2:30 PM.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Clara, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.40/hr.
