Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in a dynamic and laid-back environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC mills or lathes, and will play a key role in ensuring precise manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

+ Operate CNC mill or lathe with precision.

+ Assist with saw operations as needed.

+ Polish parts to the required finish.

+ Perform minor maintenance on machines.

+ Measure parts to a tolerance of +/- .005.

+ Maintain a clean work environment.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum 2 years of experience on either mill or lathe.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Experience measuring parts accurately.

+ Proficiency in basic shop math.

+ Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with set-ups, tool changes, and offsets.

+ Familiarity with programming, particularly Mastercam.

+ Knowledge of micrometers and calipers.

Work Environment

This is a precise manufacturing job shop with a union environment. Openings are available on the **2nd shift.** Employees must be able to train on the 1st shift (6am-2pm, 5 days a week) and will move to the 2nd shift (2pm-12am, 4 days a week) once they have proven their skills. The 2nd shift includes two paid 10-minute breaks and a 30-minute paid lunch.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of **Fort Wayne, Indiana** .

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $32.00/hr.
