Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing mechanical and electrical repairs throughout the plant, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install equipment in compliance with plant policies and procedures.
+ Work with machinery and mechanical equipment including motors, pneumatic and hydraulic components, conveyor systems, and production line equipment.
+ Read diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications for installations.
+ Utilize hand tools, power tools, precision-measuring devices, and testing instruments.
+ Maintain all company assets at the highest level of availability by executing the preventive maintenance schedule.
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot root causes on equipment in a professional and timely manner.
+ Collaborate with operators on process improvements and train them on routine preventative maintenance.
+ Support engineering and continuous improvement projects including trials and installations.
+ Maintain good housekeeping in the maintenance department and after completing jobs.
+ Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
+ Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
+ Repair hydraulic components and perform preventive maintenance.
+ Track work orders manually.
+ Conduct basic PLC troubleshooting.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair.
+ Experience in mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
+ Ability to repair hydraulic components.
+ Proficiency in performing preventive maintenance.
+ Capability to work with diagnostic tools such as Meger Meter, Multi-Meter, Amp Probe, and Infrared Thermometer.
+ Knowledge of electrical systems including motors, 3-phase, 400V, AC/DC motor control, VFD, and electrical maintenance.
+ Understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, schematics, PLC troubleshooting, welding, maintenance repair, and HVAC.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Mechanical skills with knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
+ Electrical abilities with proficiency in troubleshooting.

Work Environment
Work in an industrial manufacturing setting with 16 press machines, 2 cutting machines, and 2 forming machines. The environment can be warm due to the presses, but it is well-lit. Shifts include 1st shift (7:00am - 3:30pm), and 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm).
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buford, Georgia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
