Job Title: Service Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Service Technician to join our team, working primarily Monday through Friday with 12-hour shifts based on customer needs. The role involves heavy travel, up to 10-14 days on the road, with returns on weekends. You will travel to locations where our products are installed or need servicing, across the US and potentially internationally. When not traveling, you will report to our location in Charleroi, working 8-hour days.

Responsibilities

+ Perform installation, electromechanical troubleshooting, repair, adjustments, and modifications to high voltage circuit breakers.

+ Work 95% outdoors, primarily on substations and solar sites.

+ Perform installation and initial start-ups of industrial circuit breakers.

+ Conduct mechanical work in electrical substations, inspecting equipment and structures to identify errors or defects.

+ Service, repair, and adjust parts of equipment based on mechanical principles.

+ Analyze information to evaluate results and resolve customer issues.

+ Engage in physical activities requiring dexterity and agility.

+ Support factory production as needed.

+ Operate man lifts, cranes, and reach fork trucks.

+ Complete paperwork including field service reports, timecards, and expense reports accurately and timely.

Essential Skills

+ Associate's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Technology or 4-5 years of hands-on experience.

+ 2 years of experience in manufacturing.

+ Ability to travel up to 80% of the time within the US and abroad.

+ Experience in electrical, mechanical, installation, and service on substations and solar sites.

+ Troubleshooting skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Preferred experience in troubleshooting and repair of electrical control circuits.

+ Preferred experience in mechanical assembly of circuit breakers.

Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic, with 95% of work conducted outdoors on substations and solar sites. When not traveling, you'll work 8-hour days in Charleroi, transitioning to 10-14 hour days while on the road. The position requires significant travel, often flying out on Mondays and returning on Fridays. While traveling, you receive full salary benefits and compensation for overtime hours.

This is a Permanent position based out of Charleroi, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $63000.00 - $83200.00/yr.

They offer 3 different benefit packages for health/dental/vision, match 50% of what you contribute to your 401k up to 8% (they'd match 4), offer 3 food trucks on site Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday for all employees, paid holidays, financial advisor and health coach available.
