    Job Title: Field Service Mechanic

    Job Description

    Provide technical support for aircraft pilot seats, focusing on the repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and upholstery components. This role involves hands-on work with tools and interaction with customers and engineering staff to resolve issues effectively.

    Responsibilities

    + Repair aircraft pilot seats by removing and replacing various components.

    + Use hand and occasionally power tools for repairs.

    + Follow computerized component maintenance manuals.

    + Travel to aircraft factories as needed for installs, removals, or troubleshooting.

    + Interface with customers and engineering staff via phone and email.

    + Document and track work using SAP and Excel.

    + Ensure parts are correctly swapped or replaced as per engineering work orders.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficient in using hand and power tools.

    + Strong customer service mindset and presentable demeanor.

    + Proficient with computer data entry and documentation.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

    + Excellent communication skills in English.

    + US Citizenship is required.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with aircraft interior component repair, particularly seating.

    + Familiarity with Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM).

    + Demonstrated ability to learn new processes and procedures quickly.

    Work Environment

     

    The primary work location is a large facility in Kent, equipped with a loading dock, storage areas, and multiple workstations. Occasional travel to nearby aircraft factories is required. The work schedule is from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, with some flexibility. The position offers rare on-call weekend duties and training under a higher level technician.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, Washington.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
