Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Liverpool, New York. In this position, you will play a critical role in managing invoice processing, reconciling accounts, and ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in accounts payable who are eager to contribute to streamlined financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify vendor invoices and expense reports with precision and accuracy.

• Reconcile vendor statements to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Coordinate with internal teams to secure approvals for invoices and expense reports.

• Address vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues efficiently.

• Collaborate with procurement to enhance purchasing processes and maintain strong vendor relationships.

• Identify and implement improvements to accounts payable workflows and practices.

• Stay informed about accounting standards and regulations impacting accounts payable.

• Support the finance team with additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations. Requirements • Associate's degree in accounting, business, or a related field is preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or accounts payable role.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Familiarity with accounting systems, with preference given to candidates experienced in Microsoft Great Plains.

• Demonstrated expertise in accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and coding.

• Ability to perform check runs and ensure accurate payment processing.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication abilities to work effectively with vendors and internal teams.
