Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to join a dynamic law firm in Prairie Village, Kansas. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting attorneys with case management, legal research, and document preparation. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful legal work in a collaborative environment, free from billable hour requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and edit a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and correspondence.

• Perform thorough legal research and provide concise summaries for attorney use.

• Organize and maintain case files, ensuring easy access to trial materials.

• Support attorneys in case preparation, hearings, and closings by managing essential tasks.

• File legal documents with courts and administrative agencies in compliance with deadlines.

• Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and court personnel to facilitate case progress.

• Assist in trial preparation, including discovery management and witness coordination.

• Utilize case management software to track and update case information.

• Collaborate with attorneys to ensure efficient handling of litigation and insurance defense matters. Requirements • Certified Paralegal credentials or a degree in paralegal studies is required.

• At least three years of experience in a paralegal role, with a focus on litigation or insurance defense.

• Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes and trial preparation.

• Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple cases effectively.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and effective interactions.

• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with discovery procedures and defense litigation is highly preferred.
