    Job Summary and Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    Performs patient care activities in the Operating Room in accordance with established hospital procedure. Responsible for patient transport, preparation of Operating Rooms, supply and equipment inventory.

    Job Requirements

    Minimum:

    + At least one (1) year of acute care experience required.

    + Completion of nurse assistant, EMT or CNA training courses required.

    + Current BLS certification required.

    + Computer skills required.

    + Care Connect, Omnicell, Lawson Computer systems experience required.

    Preferred:

    + Experience with sterile supplies preferred.

    + Please upload a current copy of your American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers, to your iCIMS profile and a cpy of your CNA, EMT or CNA certificate, if applicable.

The hospital’s heart attack treatment times consistently beat the national average, and the hospital offers two cardiac catheterization labs available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Groundbreaking cardiac procedures at Dominican include the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedure, which allows for heart valve replacement without opening a patient’s chest.

     

    Dominican Hospital has forged significant partnerships with area hospitals to bring exceptional care to Santa Cruz County. The hospital offers a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) through a partnership with Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. Neurosurgery at Dominican is also offered through a partnership with Stanford Health Care.

    Pay Range

    $34.09 - $38.32 /hour
