Are you a detail-driven payroll professional looking for an exciting opportunity to advance your career? Robert Half is currently working with a dynamic client in search of a meticulous and experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team. If you have a knack for numbers and a passion for delivering accurate payroll services, this could be the perfect role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

+ Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

+ Manage employee benefits deductions, direct deposit setup, and garnishments.

+ Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of employee records in the payroll system.

+ Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries efficiently.

+ Assist in preparing payroll reports for management and support month-end close processes related to payroll.

+ Stay updated on current payroll legislation and compliance requirements.

+ Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure seamless communication and process flow between departments.

Requirements

+ Experience: 2+ years of payroll processing experience; familiarity with various payroll systems (ADP, Workday, or similar platforms) is a strong asset.

+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required with relevant experience.

+ Skills: Advanced Excel skills, strong analytical abilities, and expertise in payroll tax compliance.

+ Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, effective problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.

+ Certifications: CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation is a plus.
