Description

We’re seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with deep experience in Microsoft Azure to help architect and optimize a modern, scalable infrastructure environment. In this role, you’ll lead cloud-focused initiatives, enhance on-prem and hybrid systems, strengthen reliability and security, and guide best practices across the organization.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited for someone who enjoys building, improving, and enabling technology systems that the business depends on every day.

Key Responsibilities

+ Design, build, and support Azure cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, identity, and security components.

+ Maintain and optimize hybrid environments with integrations between Azure and on-prem systems.

+ Manage and support Windows Server and/or Linux environments, along with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

+ Lead improvements and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Infrastructure-as-Code (ARM/Bicep/Terraform).

+ Oversee virtualization environments (VMware or Hyper-V) and implement resource scaling and performance best practices.

+ Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve escalated infrastructure issues, ensuring uptime and stability.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Security and DevOps, to align infrastructure with business needs.

+ Document infrastructure standards, guidelines, and operational procedures.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

+ 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or systems administration.

+ Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS/PaaS services, identity & security, governance).

+ Solid understanding of virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V).

+ Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments and Active Directory.

+ Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Experience

+ Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, or similar).

+ Infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or Ansible.

+ Azure monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel, etc.).

+ Familiarity with networking concepts (VPNs, VNet Peering, DNS, firewalls).

+ Exposure to containerization (Docker or Kubernetes) is a plus.
