We are seeking a motivated Cleaner to provide janitorial services at our contract site in Albany. This role involves routine cleaning, floor care, and restroom maintenance to ensure a professional and sanitary workspace for staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

+ Remove trash and recycling from offices, restrooms, and common areas.

+ Push large gondolas and operate cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers/waxers.

+ Dust, vacuum, sweep, dust mop, wet mop, strip, wax, and buff floors.

+ Maintain, clean and restock restrooms with toiletries.

+ Follow proper cleaning procedures and use chemicals safely.

+ Report to supervisors as needed.

Requirements:

+ High school or GED.

+ Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

+ Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

+ Ability to stand, stoop, bend, twist, and stretch for extended periods.

+ Ability to perform light to medium labor, including lifting/pushing up to 50 lbs.

+ Proficient in using cleaning equipment and products safely.

+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching as needed.

+ Lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.

+ Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements:

+ High School Diploma or GED.

+ Valid NYS Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

+ Excellent verbal and written comprehension.

+ Knowledge of barriers to employment faced by individuals with disabilities.

+ Ability to use office equipment.

+ Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs.

+ Ability to stand, stoop, bend, twist and stretch for long periods of time.

+ Ability to work efficiently and with the public.

+ Prior supervisory experience preferred.

+ Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

+ Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
