The Position: JOB SUMMARY + Oversees Software Quality Assurance. Develop, implement and maintain technical quality assurance, control systems, and processes. Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products. Participates in the reviewing of engineering designs to ensure quality requirements and other considerations are taken into account. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES + Communicates quality metrics and performance to senior management. + Facilitates the reporting of corporate review, analysis, and results of potential defects. + Establishes objectives, procedures, and priorities for area(s) of responsibility. + Implements, oversees, and directs Quality System Corrective and Preventive Action Program. + Collaborates to develop, modify and implement functional, operational, or technical policies that affect immediate operations and overall company objectives. + Organizes and promotes corporate-wide quality improvement efforts. + Directly responsible for administration of divisional quality assurance and the corporate policy and associated procedures. + Responsible for evaluation and development of improved techniques for the assurance of quality, reliability, and increased customer satisfaction. + Develops, implements, and enforces policies, procedures, and standards in line with industry regulations, company objectives and customer requirements. + Collaborates with cross-functional teams to address quality-related issues. + Leads initiatives to ensure customer audit readiness and maintains ongoing compliance with relevant standards and regulations. + Partners with internal teams to proactively identify and mitigate audit risks. + Coordinates cross-functional preparation and support for DNV AS9100 audits. + Serves as the primary liaison between quality, the organization, and external auditors. + Oversees the gated development process to ensure quality and timely delivery of software releases. + Implements controls and checkpoints that align with business and compliance requirements. + Champions the adoption of modern QA methodologies including test automation, AI-driven quality tools, and metrics-based performance tracking. + Collaborates with the SWE team to embed quality into every stage of the development lifecycle. + Recruits, hires, appraises, and develops direct reports. + Provides leadership in regard to costs, methods, staffing, and performance standards toward achievement of department goals and direction. + Responsible for implementing, overseeing, and directing the Divisional Quality System Training Programs for the Quality Engineering function. + Oversees the departmental budget. The salary or hourly wage range of $xx,xxx – $xx,xxx is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements. What We’re Looking For: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS + BA/BS Degree required. + 8 years of broad technical experience of which 5 years should be in quality assurance including conducting quality audits + Prior supervisory, team lead, or project leader experience KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS + Thorough working knowledge of applicable quality regulatory requirements. + Ability to research and understand customer requirements documents. + Excellent organizational and communication skills + Demonstrated ability to implement strategic policies and/or change procedures for obtaining results + Ability to receive assignments in the form of objectives and determines how t use resources to meet schedules and goals. OTHER REQUIREMENTS + Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 50% of time.
