    We are hiring a Development Director in Houston, TX. The director will generate revenue for our Go Red For Women and Heart Ball fundraising campaigns through sponsorships, auctions, and the Shop with Heart initiative. These campaigns include our signature Go Red For Women Luncheon and Heart Ball events. You will collaborate with other team members to meet the overall goals for these campaigns.

     

    This is an office-based position with a hybrid schedule. The office is in Houston, TX.

     

    We have a fast-paced sales environment with the primary responsibility of driving revenue in support of our mission. We offer a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive up to 25% of your base pay. The potential incentive is based on achieving certain revenue targets and triggers.

    Responsibilities

    + Work strategically with staff in multiple campaigns and volunteer teams charged with the Go Red For Women and Heart Ball campaign to accomplish results.

    + Recruit and maintain relationships with high-level corporate and individual volunteers. Manage assigned volunteer committees.

    + Actively steward donors. Generate revenue through corporate and retail sponsorships and individual donors.

    + Lead and grow existing Shop With Heart retail campaign and Circle of Red individual donor campaign.

    + Lead and grow the auction solicitation, cultivation, and execution for the Luncheon and Heart Ball events.

    + Work with cross-campaign leadership to implement the Second Century celebration in Houston.

    + Network and engage with sponsors and key corporate and community leaders to generate new business and upgrade existing partnerships by engaging them in our mission.

    + Track, report, and manage results using a variety of database and campaign management systems.

    + Collaborate with the team on event management, including but not limited to planning, logistics, implementation, volunteer partnerships, and evaluation post-event.

    + Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Qualifications

    + 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or other related experience

    + University/College degree or equivalent experience

    + Ability to travel locally approximately 75%; requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis

    + Ability to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving

    + Must have at least basic knowledge and skill/proficiency with Microsoft Office
