    Position Title: Software Developer

     

    Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/Week

     

    Summary of Duties: Modernize a large commercial engineering application used by companies around the world to ensure the stability of electrical grids. Assist the Engineering team on a large, complex software code base. Work with Delphi component that manages database, data transfer, and algorithms. Write code in the Delphi programming language to provide an interface to enter relay protection data into the program and database. Work on database queries in SQL query language and manage data in Firebird and SQL Database applications. Assist with database schema and migration. Work with technical customers from around the globe helping them solve critical electrical grid infrastructure problems. Hybrid work permitted.

     

    Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. The position requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills **:** SQL query language; Object-oriented programming fundamentals; Delphi programming language and environment or other object-oriented programming languages; Databases such as Firebird open-source database, Microsoft SQL Server, or others. Hybrid work permitted.
