• Staff Nurse RN (1.0 FTE) - Ambulatory Float Pool

    *_SUMMARY_*

    We are currently seeking a full-time*Staff Nurse*RN (1.0 FTE) to join our Ambulatory Float Pool.

     

    This full-time position will work day shift (Monday-Friday). Ambulatory Care Float Pool assignments require driving to off campus clinics. Must have a valid driver’s license and the availability of an insured vehicle or demonstrate ability to travel to offsite clinics during the work shift within a one-hour timeframe.

     

    *_RESPONSIBILITIES_*

    Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:

    * Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health

    * Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care

    * Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response

    * Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others

    * Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care

    * Educating patient on their disease process

    * Assuring continuity of care

    * Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being

    *_QUALIFICATIONS_*

    * Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

    * Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota

    * Ambulatory Care Float Pool assignments require driving to off campus clinics. Must have a valid driver’s license and the availability of an insured vehicle or demonstrate ability to travel to offsite clinics during the work shift within a one-hour timeframe.

    * Certification in area of clinical specialty

    * BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
