The Manager is responsible for the end-to-end Modular process (planograms), optimizing assortment, and driving success across both the physical and digital shelf. Success requires translating complex data into pragmatic, in-store applications, leading a team of direct report(s), cultivating strong customer relationships, and championing innovative solutions that benefit both The Clorox Company and Walmart. About the Role In this pivotal role within our dynamic **Category Advisor Team** , you’ll go beyond traditional analytics—automating the routine to focus on discovering what others miss. You’ll translate those discoveries into actionable, in-store and online strategies that fuel growth for both **Clorox** and **Walmart** . Our mission is clear: **We lead stakeholders to informed decisions.** As a Category Team Manager, you’ll bring this to life by providing unbiased, insight-driven recommendations, challenging the status quo, and building new tools and capabilities that redefine category management excellence. This role includes leadership of multiple Walmart Advisorships and direct management of team members. What You’ll Do + Serve as the **primary category advisor** for a major category at Walmart, providing data-backed recommendations to drive sales and market share growth. + Own the **end-to-end modular process** , partnering with the Space Team to develop optimized planograms. + Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Walmart merchants and internal cross-functional teams. + Leverage **Walmart Scintilla data** and other sources to uncover shopper insights and category opportunities. + Deliver impactful **category and modular presentations** throughout the year. + Apply **omni-channel insights** to optimize both in-store and digital shelf performance. + Lead, coach, and develop direct reports to achieve professional growth and organizational success. + Partner closely with Shopper Insights, Space Management, and internal analytics teams to develop best-in-class recommendations. + Develop and automate next-generation **business intelligence tools** to drive smarter, faster decisions. What You’ll Bring + Proven experience in **category management, retail analytics, or shopper insights** , preferably with exposure to Walmart or large retail customers. + Strong analytical, strategic, and storytelling skills with the ability to influence across levels. + Experience leading teams and managing cross-functional collaboration. + Proficiency with data visualization and retail analytics tools (e.g., Walmart Luminate/Scintilla, Power BI, Excel). + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred). Category Expertise & Technical Skills + **5+ years of progressive experience** in Category Management, specifically working with **Walmart** (or a similar major retailer), with a deep understanding of its business processes, systems, and merchandising principles. + **Demonstrated success** in owning and leading the **Walmart Modular Relay** process from end-to-end. + **Technical Fluency:** Advanced proficiency in space planning software (e.g., **JDA/Blue Yonder Category Management Suite** ), syndicated data sources (e.g., **Nielsen/IRI** ), and Walmart-specific data platforms ( **Scintilla/Luminate/Retail Link** ). + **Data Visualization Expertise:** Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., **Tableau, Power BI** ) to transform complex, raw data into clear, compelling, and actionable business insights. + **Omni-Channel Understanding:** Knowledge of how to optimize both the **physical shelf** and the **digital shelf** through assortment, merchandising, and shopper-centric strategies. Strategic Leadership & Influence + **Proven People Leader:** At least **2+ years of experience** successfully managing, coaching, developing, and motivating direct report(s) and leading the work of a team across multiple advisorships. + **Expert Relationship Builder:** Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain **strong, trust-based, collaborative relationships** with Walmart merchants, internal cross-functional partners, and executive stakeholders. + **Strategic Storyteller:** Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data into a **clear, unbiased narrative** and deliver compelling, high-impact presentations and strategies to influence critical customer business decisions. + **Innate Curiosity & Drive:** Possesses an **insatiable curiosity** and a proactive, forward-thinking mindset to challenge the status quo and continuously seek out and champion innovative solutions and category growth opportunities. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area. •Zone A: $128,000 - $252,200 •Zone B: $117,400 - $231,200 •Zone C: $106,700 - $210,200 All ranges are subject to change in the future.
